MEDIA MAHAUL
Media Mahaul
‘Mahaul’ — in Hindi, this word means the atmosphere, the ambience, the prevailing climate of a place or a conversation. The ‘media mahaul’ is the air we breathe when we speak to each other in public.
Given our current early 21st-century communicative environment, the decibel levels in social media can be deafening. Our arrangement of this ‘Media’ section into five parts spells out the word ‘GRACE’ and is meant to counter and soften the somewhat divisive contexts of conversation in which we engage today, so that we can cooperate as a human community to resolve, sometimes by unusual and innovative methods, the seemingly intractable ‘problem’ of hunger that still stubbornly persists in our advanced 21st-century world.
